Forklift Accident Prevention – Visibility

Proper visibility is key in preventing forklift accidents, especially overturn accidents. According to OSHA, forklift overturn accidents are the leading cause of forklift accident fatalities, representing roughly 25% of all forklift accident deaths. Ensuring proper visibility can help prevent such fatalities. Learn about forklift accident lawsuits in PA or NJ.

Visibility is crucial to avoid collisions, falling loads, loading accidents, or strike/crush accidents, all of which can lead to an overturn. Drivers and those who work near forklifts must be trained properly on OSHA forklift regulations, forklift operating procedures, and forklift manufacturer guidelines.

OSHA Forklift Regulations

OSHA regulates the use of forklifts in the workplace. Section 1910.178 of the Code of Federal Regulations details all of the OSHA forklift regulations. From operator training to storage of batteries, these regulations are designed to prevent forklift accidents and injuries.
