Tractor Trailer Sought in Fatal Accident in Philadelphia

The most recent truck accident was just reported in Philadelphia. A tractor-trailer is being sought in a hit and run case which killed a pedestrian late Friday evening. The accident occurred just before midnight.

According to philly.com, authorities are seeking a tractor-trailer which allegedly fled after striking an unknown male who was walking on Interstate 95 near the Cottman Avenue exit (www.philly.com, “Two dead in accidents involving tractor-trailers,” 1/19/13). The pedestrian died at the scene.

The truck involved in the accident may have been a red Peterbilt tractor with a silver trailer. The pedestrian has yet to be identified and police are seeking information about the pedestrian and the truck.
