Logging Accidents in Pennsylvania

Logging accidents, while rare, often result in death. The nature of logging requires work to be performed in areas far from accessible roads. EMS personnel may have difficulty accessing the victim and the nearest hospital may be hours away. In crush type situations, immediate medical attention can make the difference between life and death.

When a logger is killed in a logging accident, workers’ compensation will offer some compensation to the family.  However, what many Pennsylvania residents do not know is that other parties may be liable. Machinery malfunctions often lead to logging and other work site accidents.

A product manufacturer may be liable in a logging accident case. Machine maintenance companies may also be liable. Having a logging accident case reviewed properly by a knowledgeable and experienced logging accident lawyer is very important. Such lawyers almost always provide free consultations.
