Firm partner Jeff Laffey has been named to PhillyLabor’s Who’s Who in Injury & Injured Workers Advocacy List for 2017. This month, Jeff received an award and plaque from members of City Council in Philadelphia recognizing his dedication to workers who are injured in on the job accidents.
PhillyLabor is an organization dedicated to helping union workers. Each year, PhillyLabor honors top lawyers in the Philadelphia community who advocate on behalf of injured workers and their families. Those who make the list are nominated and selected by a committee of industry professionals. No one can sponsor or purchase a selection.
2017 marks the first year Jeff has made this list. As the son of a union carpenter in Philadelphia, Jeff couldn’t be more proud to accept the award. Here he is, getting the award from City Councilman David Oh.

The Council of the City of Philadelphia is pleased and proud to honor Jeffrey Laffey for being selected to be part of the PhillyLabor Who’s Who in Injury and Injured Workers Advocacy List for 2017.
Whereas, Jeffrey Laffey is an attorney representing the Law Firm of Laffey, Bucci & Kent located at 1435 Walnut Street, Suite 700 Philadelphia, PA 19102; and
Whereas, Jeffrey Laffey has been nominated and approved by the Board of the PhillyLabor Injured Workers Advocacy Program, an initiative that advocates on behalf of injury victims and injured workers throughout the Philadelphia area union community, to be worthy of inclusion as part of the Who’s Who in Injury and Injured Workers Advocacy List for the year 2017; and
Whereas, Jeffrey Laffey has been selected for this honor due exclusively to his exemplary representation on behalf of injured workers; and
Whereas, Jeffrey Laffey has dedicated his professional career to representing and advocating on behalf of injury victims with passion and commitment and in a manner that has restored hope and dignity back into the lives of their clients; and
Whereas, Jeffrey Laffey has represented himself, his firm and his profession in a manner that represents the highest standards of law and has therefore set an example worthy of influencing future legal professionals and advocates to choose the noble path of representing and helping injured workers who, too often, are unable to help themselves.
Therefore, By virtue of this Citation, the Council of the City of Philadelphia hereby recognizes and thanks Jeffrey Laffey and acknowledges that Jeffrey Laffey has been selected to be part of the PhillyLabor Who’s Who in Injury and Injured Workers Advocacy List for 2017.
