What is the civil statute of limitations for sex abuse lawsuits in Pennsylvania? If the victim was an adult (age 18+) when the abuse or assault occurred, the lawsuit must be filed within 2 years of the incident. Cases of child molestation or child sex abuse get a different, longer statute of limitations period.
