This month, LBK’s partners Paul Bucci and Guy D’Andrea were admitted to two federal courts: the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Both attorneys focus on injury and accident cases including work injuries, construction accidents, crime victim injuries, sex abuse, etc.
Leaders Among the Personal Injury Bar
Both Paul and Brian are considered leaders among the plaintiff’s personal injury bar. Nearly a decade ago, Paul was one of the work injury attorneys who litigated the Atlantic City hotel construction collapse case–the largest construction accident settlement in U.S. history. That case resulted in a staggering $101 million settlement. Paul focuses on catastrophic and complex work injury cases throughout the country.
Brian continues his work representing victims of crime, particularly victims of sexual abuse. In one landmark case, he helped a client bring a child molestation lawsuit against a sitting state court judge in Delaware. As a result of that case, the judge admitted to the abuse, was removed from the bench and was disbarred. Brian frequently lectures on the topic of crime victims’ civil rights and is also an adjunct professor at Drexel University’s law school where he teaches trial advocacy.

The recent admissions highlight the firm’s expansion and growing law practice. The admissions into the Western District of Pennsylvania will serve the firm’s clients in the Pittsburgh (Allegheny County) area, and the admissions into the Third Circuit highlight the firm’s appellate practice.
