Fees & Costs
Laffey, Bucci & Kent is a law firm dedicated to exclusively representing victims of injury and victims of crime, and their families, as they seek justice for wrongs that have been done to them.
Recognizing that this is a time of crisis and stress for their clients, LBK never asks for any fee to be paid up front. Every case that LBK undertakes is based upon a "contingent fee" arrangement - which means that the firm will not be paid a fee until, and if, the client receives financial money compensation through out-of-court settlement or trial.
Why Doesn't LBK Charge Its Clients Hourly Rates or Ask for A Retainer?
LBK doesn't ask any of its clients for any out-of-pocket money because the partners who founded LBK - Jeffrey Laffey, Paul Bucci, and Brian Kent - do not think this is fair. They have agreed that their clients, who are facing tremendous life crises and usually, undergoing huge financial stress, should not be charged anything before they can have a top-flight attorney represent their interests. LBK recognizes that most of its clients will not be able to financially compete with big insurance companies. And as a result, LBK fronts all of the costs of the clients' litigation and lawsuit expenses.
LBK and its clients are in the fight together. If there's not a win, then LBK doesn't get paid. It's as simple as that.
What About All the Costs and Expenses of Pursuing a Claim and Trying a Lawsuit?
Of course, there are expenses involved in fighting for justice when someone has been the victim of a crime or a personal injury. LBK will recoup its costs directly from a money settlement or a financial recovery resulting from trial.
